Korean side Taejon Citizen got off to an excellent start in Group A of the AFC Champions League as they beat China's Shanghai Shenhua 2-1 at the Supachalsai Stadium in Bangkok on Monday.

Han Jung-kook put the Koreans ahead after eight minutes and Kim Eun-jung extended the lead to 2-0 a minute before the break. Shenhua substitute Luo Xiao pulled a goal back five minutes from time but it was not enough to prevent a Taejon victory.
한정국 선수가 먼저 시작한지 8분만에 선취골을 뽑아냈으며 김은중 선수가 추가골을 터트려 전반을 2-0으로 리드하며 끝냈다. 선화의 Luo Xiao가 종료 5분 전에 만회골을 넣었지만 대전의 승리를 막을 수는 없었다.
